Anniversary in Northern Cali

Yesterday February 25th Ryan and I celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary. (I love you ryan!)
And yesterday we tried to recover from our week long celebration in California.

Here is a list of places we had to go to "of course":

Of course I had to shop at LUSH. Funny thing happened at Lush in Union Square. I saw the manager from the Bellevue Washington store in the SF store. Her name is Cindy and she is orginally from SLC. Crazy small world. I got HOOKED up with samples from there.

Of course I had to shop at Trader Joes. Trader Joes will NEVER come to Utah. Why do you ask? Because they carry liquor in their stores...and in Utah you can't sell hard liquor (above a certain %) in grocery stores. Dumb utah laws.

Of course I had to drag Ryan into the T&CO store in Union Square. Note to self-Never go into a T&CO store on a Saturday! There were so many bitches shopping the T&CO silver. It was insane.

Duh...of course we had to eat ethiopian food in SF. We went to Massawa on Haight. The food is delicious.

We also had to take a cruise around the bay. This was my second time on a SF bay cruise and Ryan's fourth but this was the first for us TOGETHER. It was a windy and a little chilly. My hair was a mess after it.
Ryan took this cool pic.

We walked all over the Union Square, Chinatown and North Beach area of SF. I love these neighborhoods. They are so diverse and remind me of home - NYC.SO refreshing to have culture around. I enjoyed the vibe, the attitude, and the energy in the air.

While driving through Castro one day without even knowing it...we came across this sign. I thought it was a funny sign.

On Monday we went down to Monterey and Carmel. It was bad timing on our part. I usually plan my vacations very well. Unfortunately I forgot that Monday was a holiday (President's Day)and that everyone and their children which seems like MILLIONS would be at my favorite aquarium. Oh Well...I did get a great pic of a jelly fish.
We went to carmel and hung out at a park by the rocky beach.
On Tuesday we drove to Napa Valley. So relaxing. So much to see, eat and do. Ryan and I only visited a few vineyards. We only did one tasting...funny thing was that they let us taste five of their wines!!! How do people drive from vineyard to vineyard in this Valley? Holy crap I was wasted after that one place. (I'm light weight I know.) The Mondavi vineyard was beautiful.

On our last day, we went to chrissy field's to take a walk. I love watching the locals take their dogs for walks on this beach. Yeah for puppies! Someday Dolly and buddy will get to run and play on a beach like these dogs.

It was a fun trip. Lots of walking was done. I must of lost five pounds. SF is still one of my favorites. I feel like a local there.
