New Trailer!!!

I have been so busy at work these days. I'm so tired when I get home that the last thing I want to do is get on the computer again.

Anyway...I haven't been keeping track of Twilight like I should...here is the new trailer!!!! OMG I can't wait! November 21st!

I don't need my eyeglasses to see my computer.

We finally did it. We got me an iMac. I love it. The screen is huge...24 inches big.


So now Ryan doesn't have to worry about me hogging up his macbook anymore.

And of course the first thing I do is put a TWILIGHT wallpaper on it. The Edward one of course.


Tonight Ryan and I went to see Burn after reading.
It was a Coen Brother's movie...it was a funny twisted story...I was sad for a moment at the end. I can't help it I feel for characters who love someone who doesn't love them. Overall I recommend this to anyone who likes a good Coens' film.

It was a crappy show this year. Nothing interesting really...and I'm so annoyed that the host had to cut off EDWARD (robert pattinson) when he was presenting...

Your Love Interest Vampire Character?

I know I know...I'm crazy. I have been listening to a lot of 90's Brit pop this weekend...and I was thinking my ideal Vampire romance character would be someone like Brett Anderson Circa 1992/93/94...I'm sure some of you may agree...(Right, Squid?)...Brett would be the perfect Edward Cullen in my movie version of Twilight.

I was a hip chick back in the day...I went to see Suede all by myself May of 1997 at the Supper Club in NYC....It was an amazing show...definitely one of my top five concerts ever. I was front stage on the left side of the stage (if you are facing the stage)...I was right in front of Neil Codling....That was a great summer... the summer of 97 I saw Suede, Pulp and Morrissey (my 1st morrissey show).

BTW...all of this Brit Pop reminiscing started with Ryan's IPOD shuttling to Jarvis Cocker's new CD...Black Magic is the song I can't get out of my head. That song just sticks for hours...I love it. ..and that is why it is auto playing on this blog entry...just for my friends!


Another thought on my Vampire obsession...why isn't someone like Tim Burton directing Twilight? My friend Jill told me last week that her Edward Cullen would be Johnny Deep. Who would be your Edward if had any say on the making of the movie?

Two weeks exactly and I finish the Series

I finished Breaking Dawn. WOW...It was a great story. I so recommend it.

I didn't lose much sleep in the last few days afterall...I just took my time with the last 100 pages and it was worth it. I woke up at 7:30 this morning to read and I finished up at 9:45ish. I couldn't help it...but I shed a tear reading the last two paragraphs of the book...so pathetic. I loved it...it was sweet and no doubt a love story. I don't want to give things away...but seriously if you have time this weekend...call me and we can discuss.

I'm going to re-read Twilight and take my time...I want to revisit the beginning of the romance between Edward and Bella.

I just found this video clip of Robert Pattinson talking about the making of Twilight and the character Edward...It makes me excited for the movie and I think he will do okay playing Edward...Robert does say that Stephanie Meyer gave him the manuscript to "MIDNIGHT SUN" the twilight book but EDWARD'S perspective...AAAAAAAAHHHH...Ryan is shaking his head right now...Ryan likes that I found something I'm so into. By the way...there is a first chapter (30 pages) of MIDNIGHT SUN floating around on the internet. Enjoy the video...

Page 330 of a 754 page book

I'm home today taking PTO...kind of crazy...I'm home reading...BREAKING DAWN...the last book of my obsession. So far this is my favorite of the four and my favorite chapter in this book is "ISLE ESME"...Edward is so romantic...I can't say why...in case you haven't read it.

I can't believe it is less than two weeks and I'm almost done with the four books of the TWILIGHT SERIES. I finished Eclipse on Wednesday night at 2am. This is my second favorite book...my favorite chapter in this book is the one called "COMPROMISE"...Edward is wonderful in that chapter...I'm NOT telling why.

I'm still loving the story...still obsessed with Vampires and really in favor of Bella becoming one and living happily ever after with her LOVELY and HOT Edward.

I'm almost half way done. I'm thinking I will be done sometime tomorrow. I'm sure I will be relieved to find out the ending but also I think I will sad that it is over.

I wonder... I think I have eye fatigue from reading for so many hours and losing sleep.

Anyway...Back to reading!

No sleep....I'm addicted to...

What is wrong with me? I only read one chapter on friday night of New Moon and then last night I was up till 5AM reading that DAMN book and it is now 2pm and about 5o pages away from finishing it...but I decided I should get out of my pjs and spend quality HUMAN time with Ryan doing errands.

I'm a sucker for this love story...here is my opinion...I so want Bella to be a Vampire...Edward is so romantic...that I'm just giddy like a teenager...reading parts of the book where he professes his love to her. I'm a passionate person and I get all this cheesy emotional romantic stuff.

I have bags under my eyes...from reading a book...who would have thought...Edward just make her a Vampire already!!! Ryan thinks it is hilarious.

BTW- I'm not into Jacob and Bella...he is sweet and nice and all but it just kind of bores me.

I love drag queens. I so enjoyed this week's Project Runway episode....the designers made outfits for drag queens. My favorite one won...this was my pick...I like pink...


My latest obsession...the TWILIGHT SAGA books!! I was so over Vampires sometime in the mid 90s...but I'm loving it now. I'm not embarrassed to admit...yeah I'm reading a teen novel about a human girl named Bella and a "hot" vampire named Edward. I was up late one night trying to finish book one...I'm starting book two NEW MOON tonight. I'm afraid that the movie that comes out in November will suck but at least I think the actor playing Edward is hot...I'm all for Bella turning into a Vampire...I can't help it ...I still have a little goth in me.

Separated at Birth?

Last week...Ryan was told "you look like that one actor from that one movie"...this was the third time ...three different people ...Apparently several people think Ryan looks like Steve Buscemi.
Do you think they look alike?

Ryan and I both don't think he looks like him...maybe it has something to do with the facial hair?

Summer Break from School, Felting and Sewing

Hooray!!! Ryan is out of school for the whole month of August. I get to hang out with my husband every night of the WEEK! and oh yeah...Ryan is smart and getting A's. I'm very proud and I have to brag.

Updates on my crafting projects:
1. I made my first felted knitted project...it is a hot pink clutch...super cute...what do you think? would you wear it?


2. I finished another Amigurumi Bear...a bigger bear than the first one I made. Now I just need to figure out who I'm going to give these Bears to as a gift...

3. I'm almost finished with my Swing Bag....I will post a picture later...I need to find someone to model it for me...

Since I got Penny...I love Cats...I thought cats were okay back in the day...my sister's cat William also makes me love cats...He is the friendliest and loves to cuddle...Penny doesn't like to cuddle but I'm conditioning her to learn to LOVE to cuddle. Anyway...since having Penny I adore Hello Kitty stuff...so a few weeks ago...I was in fashion place mall and I got a TANNED "TROPICAL Hello Kitty" from Build a Bear. This was my first and LAST Build A Bear. I had to get it...because Hello Kitty is BROWN...possible a Hispanic Kitty. How freakin cool is that?! Damn I'm Old and kind of crazy ...about cats.

So I almost forgot...In July Ryan and I took my mom and sis to a little get away to Bear Lake. Our Mini Vaca was so nice and relaxing. My mom loved it except for the drive...she is afraid of heights and she had a hard time while we drove through Logan Canyon. It was beautiful but it freaked my mom out.
I have been super bad about bringing my camera with me...so I only have pictures of us on the road...here is a pic of me and my sister...bear lake is behind us.

Summer Summer Time

What is my problem...I need to get my BLOG ON!!

Life is good...still busy with lots of stuff to do... Ryan is in school three evenings out of the work week. I miss having him around to enjoy the summer nights with me...FRIENDS should call me...I'm usually just at home doing crafts...I need a break sometimes.

Anyway on the weekends, Ryan cooks and I'm the cook's assistant...we grill most of the time...my favorite so far has to be the grilled acorn squash...he puts asiago cheese and Italian parley...very yummy...here it is pictured below...the plate on the right side. That night we had pork chops and grilled red bell peppers.

On the weekends we do yard work together and relax at home watching movies with the doggies (includes Penny since she is part dog). Back in May Ry built two garden boxes for our veggies...I got a picture of Ry after he finished one of the boxes...of course the dogs had to be in the picture...Buddy loves the veggies and fruits...we have to have the garden area closed off.

My roses are blooming like crazy this year....I purchased from jackson and perkins eight bare-root roses. Six of them are David Austin roses. I love my english roses....my favorite are the yellow ones called Golden Celebration...

I took this picture of the front of my house...with my tree roses (named mr.lincoln)...the red matches our red door.

I'm working late most days and I have a zillion craft projects. I'm working on more Amigurmi bears, I just got fabrics to make a Amy Butler Swing Bag, I'm trying to finish my quilt...and I started on a new one with my sister which we are going to give to our mom.

Yesterday Ryan and I made it to Farmer's Market. We got there around 10am...we got a jar of honey, some fresh dill, and baked goods. I wanted to get some corn but they were all out by the time we got there.

I also went to Elaine's Quilt Block. This is my favorite quilt store these days since the owner and the owner's daughter in law of Piper's Quilts ... BUGS the crap out of me...too bad because it is located in my hood, sugarhouse. The owner is a bit crazy...super under organized as a teacher (I took my first quilting class there) and she loves to PRESSURE all her customers to buy everything and anything in the store...when I took the class ...tons of people in the class bought too much FABRIC...because she told them to buy it! I feel like Piper's owner preys on unexperienced quilters. AND her daughter in law is just a bitch and NOT helpful at all. I have heard lots of other quilters and knitters complain about Piper's and will no longer shop there because of the same reasons. I'm an easy customer...TRUST ME...I spend a LOT OF MONEY at craft stores...ALL I ask is for good customer service hence I'm taking my business else where. I TOTALLY recommend Elaine's. I took my hand quilting class there and I got a kit with the class...imagine that and I had NO pressure to buy anything and all the people there are sweet friendly people. I'm going to be checking out Whimsy Cottage and Materials Girls in the next coming months.

While at Elaine's I ran into an old friend...named Kari. I haven't seen her for six years. She started quilting five years ago and she is now a quilt designer who just got picked up by MODA Fabrics and making patterns for them. What a great JOB...I"m so jealous. It was so great to see her...a long lost sister in quilting. Her website is under construction but she has some of her designs on her blog. By the way, Kari told me about her favorite quilt store called Materials Girls.

What is Amigurumi? It is my latest craft obsession. Amigurumi is the japanese art of knitting or crocheting small stuffed animals.

Penny discovered the kitchen counters a few months ago. We are trying to get her out of the super bad habit...We took this picture of her a month or so ago...She use to like to hang out in the sink...



One day I came home from work and she was laying on a platter I left out to dry...I had to take a pic...here she is stretching on the plate...bad bad cute kitty...

In September we will see Him and the Band

Earlier this week...Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds announced their US tour dates.

I found out one day late...I have been keeping a close eye on this for months. Ryan and I love this Band. We love Nick Cave. His lyrics are amazing...his voice is divine...so deep and dark. His stage presence has floored us. Five years ago Ryan and I were graced by his presence...we waited standing for hours on Mission Street before the doors opened at the Warfield Theatre...we saw a few of the band mates as they arrived to rehearse or setup...I can tell you how Nick smelled that night in San Francisco and at one point his sweat dripped onto my arm...at one point Nick was crouched down next to me and Ryan...I touch his shoes a few times...that is how close we were to him that one night in SF. I cried along with a young goth girl standing behind me during the song "into my arms". Please watch this to listen to this lovely song...
This was definitely one of our TOP CONCERTS ever. My memories are still very vivid.

So on Friday we got tickets for the Portland Sept 22 show...I'm excited to see Nora, Megan and Doug...they too are big fans and will be attending with us.

We also planned on buying tickets for Seattle...the show was originally set for only Sept 23. I got on ticketmaster.com only a few minutes after the start of the sale...and THEY SOLD OUT. My heart sank. Ryan got on his laptop and found out that they added a show on Sept 24...WE GOT tickets for that show...I'm super happy.

I have said...for years...if Nick Cave comes again to the US...we are going to several states to see him...and for now we plan on ALSO getting tickets for SF...again at the Warfield. Tickets are not on sale yet...i'm desperately waiting for the "go on sale" date...hopefully we can get some tickets.

Wish me luck as we try to be traveling groupies...I'm SERIOUS folks..THIS IS BIG...REALLY BIG....imagine me here in the crowd...

February 25th....ryan and i celebrated our 8 year wedding anniversary...8 years of wonderful great times together. we took the day off of work and just relaxed. i hate to sound so cheesy but i don't remember my life without ryan. he is the best thing to ever happen to me. i love you ryan...i love growing old with you...i can't wait to experience more of life with you.
